Spice Girls Steal the show
It may seem hard to believe that it has been 22 years since the Spice Girls first stormed our screens but back in 1997, when they first performed at the Brit Awards, they were little more than an up-and-coming girl group with a penchant for platforms. It was this performance which saw the arrival of Geri’s Union Jack mini-dress and helped the band mime their way to stardom as young girls everywhere manically copied their dance routines.
If that all-time iconic performance wasn't enough, the band then made further headlines when they took to the stage to accept two awards later in the evening - first when an excited Geri Halliwell accidentally spilled out of her Jessica Rabbit dress...and then when Mel C uttered that immortal line to Liam Gallagher: "Liam - come and have a go if you think you're hard enough."
